                                                            Minimalist Photography

These photos remind me of my childhood, I was always seeing shoes tied up on wires when I lived in Palmetto, I was always on a boat and of course I love Jamaica, and I also blew a lot of bubbles when I was a kid. These photos are very minimalist because they still show a point and the photo is not action packed to show what you're trying to get across.

These photos are adventurous, brave, young, courageous, and lively.
I think that Jenny was successful because when she took the photos she was probably looking for a certain kind of emotion and I feel like she captured that in her photos.
I feel like Jenny would be a good good role model because she's showing the world "live your life the way you want to and don't worry about what people say or think". I feel like she would be a good mom, wife and friend because she looks like she would travel a lot and loved to be outside doing adventurous things. I feel like she would be that one person who brings light to every situation.

                                                                      "The Last Girl"

This photo close up makes me think that it is a child.. a little girl. The photo looks like a big masterpiece and a man is in a harness and is putting the picture up. The title seems to me that this is the last girl to be alone, afraid and upset. I think that the billboard was meant for young females (exceptionally) and males as well, showing them that they are not alone and they can be happy. This picture is deep and interesting in a way because it looks like there is no text on the picture which gives it more meaning in terms of seeing and understanding the whole picture in general.

This is the original photo. It looks as if it is being put up in an urban city because of how big the building is.. Usually in big cities, they have big billboards or murals on buildings and that's where I got that idea that it was in a city. The girl, again, looks very lost and alone..

Describing Photographs

1. The photo was taken in a field. It's an image of woman hanging clothes. It looks like an everyday event. The picture has bright colors, which makes it look vivid. There is the sky in the background, and in the mid ground you can see the focus of the clothes rack and a ladder. Also, you can see birds flying all the way at the back. The viewers attention is on the woman hanging the clothes. The woman seems tired but she's also alone.. I feel like she likes doing things independently.

2. This a picture of a man canoeing and the water turns into glass. The picture was taken in a lake. In the background you can see trees and part of the sky and water. There is a reflection in the middle of the lake and the image in the lake is the sky. The person in the canoe is the main focus. He looks as if he is disappointed or lost. It does not have bright colors or dark colors, it looks neutral. It is expressive. If anything, it may be kind of sad. The photographer used geometric figures on the glass. The photographer probably wants to express how they feel about life, lonely.

3. This is a picture of what looks like a teen punching himself. You can not see his expression but he seems mad, and done with his life.. he's stressed. His face is the main focus. He is the only person in the frame of the picture. The photo is dark, neutral colors. the photographer uses the teen to express his anger. His face looks unrealistic.

4. This is an image of a fish holding a house on its dorsal side. The main focus is the fish. In the top picture you can see some houses and birds and the sky and some trees. There is a boat in the mid ground on the water close to the house. The bottom part of the photo is composed of dark colors. the background has more bright colors in the sky and the trees. The photographer uses more than one photo to compose a complete scene.

5. This is a photo of a man walking in a cold climate. The man looks like if he just did something that he's proud of but he's by himself so he looks very lonely. The image is cold with dark colors, snow, dark sky and a little bit of pink, like hope. He seems like he was fishing, there are fish trapped in the ice. The focus is in the pink side of the sky because it has a change of color. Also. you can see some trees in the background. It seems like he was not happy. The photographer probably wants to express that he is tired of everyday work.

6. This an image of a man walking in the middle of nowhere, there are two doors with bright colors. The sky is dark but you can see stars in the middle of the background. The door that the man has just walked out of looks like as if it it's not a happy place. The main focus are the doors and the yellow glow. It seems like a dream. The background shows how he feels, miserable. There are mountains and little flowers that do not have a lot of focus. The photo make us feel sad. There are some papers on the floor of the of the door that the man walked out of. It seems like he was writing and then going back to reality.

7. This is a photo of boots and a woman is inside one of them. "Take a walk in my shoes" is the phrase that represents this photo. It looks like a woman is running away but he is happy about it. The photo is dark, the sun is just setting. She is wearing clothes like if she was going to ride a horse. You can see the sky in the background, and a lot of clouds. The main focus are the two big boots. It seems like she is doing what she wants with her life. It make us feel like she is small in a big world. the photographer is trying to show how she feels. Her face express hope.

8. This is a picture of a waterfall type road that a man was biking along. The photo shows a guy and his bike and he looks interested and scared at the same time. The way the road goes looks unrealistic. There is green grass running along side the road and it is really bright and you can not see the sky much but it looks like early morning or almost after a sunset. There are some trees in the back. The main focus is the road going down. the photographer uses two main colors; brown and green. the photo is expressive. It shows fear and he may be feeling like as if he's falling down.

9. This is a picture of a man painting a picture of the sight he is seeing but he's also in the painting himself. his hair is white representing the canvas e's painting on. He is the main focus because he has the brighter colors in his shirt. The foreground is all with dark colors. He is painting his point of view. There is a river and a tree in the back. It makes us feel like him and his emotions were a part of the painting and also the photograph.

                                                              Keep Your Head Up

Thursday, August 25, 2016

This photograph of these little flowers represents depth because it is the only thing that is focused in the picture, the rest is blurry and is not being seen as well as the flowers.

This photograph of this palm tree represents balance because the sky is in the background, there's a few clouds and the palm tree is the main focus of the picture.

This photograph of a trashcan represents pattern because there is an ongoing dark green diamond design the whole way around the trashcan.

This photograph of my hair represents texture because the curls are brushed out but you can still see some definition in how it was before when it was curly.

This photograph of the sun and sky represents contrast because the sun is a clear definition of white and the corner of the building defines the black.

This photograph of the center of the school represents symmetry because if you cut the photo in half, the photo will be the exact same because the building is straight across and has the exact same colors and the picture would have the same amount of palm tress on each side.
